No, not to you, beloved
Haughty to heartless,
You’ve hurled them all.
The unseen chain, the magic lock…
Ha! Fool said the girl in the mirror,
Tool, you snarled, sneering,
At the world you thought you own.
White powder, stainless satin, diamonds and rubies
How can I when I'm broken?
No, please, not the toughest heart,
Mine is not made of steel.Angelic, droll…snapped…beasty,
A button pressed, voice deluded.
Still, tenacious, you hold that rein.
Condemned to infinite perpetuity
This knot, I curse.
Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today
To bury you... its your turn, deloved!
(Please note not all poems are autobiographical and this isn't one either, its inspired by a friend's experience and no, siani, its not you!! )
